Richard Charles Levin (Rick Levin), born on April 7, 1947, is an American economist and academic administrator. He was the 22nd President of Yale University from 1993 to 2013. Richard Levin was born in San Francisco, California to Jewish-American parents and graduated from Lowell High School in 1964.

Richard Levin became an Assistant Professor of Economics at Yale in 1974 and was promoted to Professor in 1979. He became a Professor of Economics and Management at the Yale School of Management in 1982. He was appointed Frederick William Beinecke Professor of Economics in 1992. Before becoming president, he served as Chairman of the Economics Department and Dean of the Yale Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.

Levin was appointed to the Independent Commission on United States Intelligence Capabilities on Weapons of Mass Destruction on February 6, 2004, created to investigate U.S. intelligence surrounding the 2003 invasion of Iraq and weapons of mass destruction. He had previously served on a government commission examining the U.S. Postal Service and on an independent board appointed by Major League Baseball to study the economics of sports. Richard Levin is an executive at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, American Express and Satmetrix.
