Who is Jules Dupuit?

Jules Dupuit was a French civil engineer and economist born in Italy on May 18, 1804. He was born under the rule of Napoleon Bonaparte in Italy and migrated with his family to France when he was ten years old. He received his education in Versailles and won the Physics prize upon graduation.
