Israel Englander, co-founder of SIG, sponsored Yass for a seat on the Philadelphia Stock Exchange, and the company’s headquarters were originally located on the Exchange. Yass’ father, Gerald Yass, was also one of the founding partners of the company. Yass was a professional gambler before entering the financial sector.
